FAQ

Wax Melts

What is a wax melt?

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax. They come in various shapes and colours and, when placed into the well of a wax burner, will slowly melt and release the fragrance into the room. All of our wax melts are made using 100% plant-based soy wax and high quality fragrance oils.

You can shop our collections here.

How do I use a wax melt?

To use a wax melt, simply place a portion of wax into well of your wax burner. Light an unscented tea light and place into the bottom of the burner. This will melt the wax and allow the fragrance to be released into the room

Which kind of tea-light should I use?

We recommend using only unscented, four hour tea-lights. This is because the burner won't get too hot, and it will allow your wax burner time to cool down in between uses. The fragrance will also burn off more slowly than if using an eight hour tea-light.

Should I use a tea-light burner or an electric burner?

It is completely up to you. However, with an electric burner, you don't have the worry of having an open flame in your home; a great option if you have littles ones or pets!

We have a beautiful array of ceramic tea-light burners in our collection.

How do you remove the wax from a wax burner?

There are two different approaches we would suggest.

1. Light a tea-light and wait a couple of minutes. This will loosen the wax, and should allow for you to easily pop it out from the burner.

2. Light a tea-light and allow the wax to completely melt. Then use a cotton wool ball/pad to soak up the wax.

How do I know when to change the wax melt?

When you can no longer smell any fragrance! This varies based on a range of different variables; room size, burner size, the amount of wax in the burner etc. so there's not a one-size-fits-all answer for this one. You can also change your wax if the fragrance is still there - it's completely up to you!

Why is my wax melt smoking?

Do not be alarmed if you see a clear, smoky substance coming from the wax. This is simply the fragrance oil releasing the scent and slowly burning off.

How do I use your scoopable wax?

Our scoopable wax is really simple to use!

We use coconut oil to give the wax a softer texture and allow it to be scooped from the tin using a spoon (provided). This gives you the option to decide how much wax you'd like to put into your burner.

Our scoopable wax also make perfect gifts! You can shop the range here.
